Another Eden follows Aldo as he’s hurled 800 years into the future and uncovers a sinister plot spanning time and space that he must stop by traveling through time to confront the evil behind it. It’s a big task, but Aldo can recruit over 100 allies to help along the way.
If you’re thinking a time-traveling retro-style RPG sounds a lot like Chrono Trigger, you’re right. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7 scenario writer Masato Kato is the mind behind Another Eden’s story, and even Chrono Trigger’s composer, Yasunori Mitsuda, helped compose the soundtrack — when he wasn’t working on Sea of Stars, presumably.
Another Eden is free to play and includes in-game purchases tied to obtaining other characters and useful items. However, WFS is running a wishlisting campaign with rewards given out to all who wishlist Another Eden on Steam and a free four-star Suzette character for all who start the game on Steam.
